Central Florida is one of the best places for a party of Golf.
Near ideal weather almost all year round enables optimal conditions for a maintained course and a leisurely playing experience. St Cloud has some amazing golf courses! One of the best spots to check out is the Royal St. Could Golf Links.
A fantastic course at an unbelievable value. It’s a true hidden gem. At a 27 holes total, this public course consists of 3 nine hole venues and a driving range to help your warm up and get a feeling for the wind and weather conditions. No houses visible nearby give you the true golf course feeling, rather than the feeling of an estate course.
The venues are called the Red, White, and the Blue course. ‘Mercia! Take your friends, family, and consider this course for your weekend getaway. Most of the Fairways are long, wide and forgiving. This helps to create a very user friendly and relaxed environment.
One thing to take note of is that the pace of play is a bit more laid back, if you are looking for a quick game, this may not be the right course for you as the entire 18 hole play usually take around 5 hours to conquer. The course overall does see it’s fair share of traffic.
Luckily the Marshals do a great job of keeping the pace. The staff and management are committed to constantly improving the course, and provide call boxes for convenient food and drink orders. Service is truly exemplary! There is also a great restaurant on the grounds, and a food cart. You can find a well-stocked Pro shop on the grounds as well, with products offered at reasonable prices.
You are provided with a golf cart and a bucket of balls. Great balls too, they are not like a mish-mash like you sometimes get at cheaper courses, but all the same brand, which comes in handy if you like consistent shots. The biggest challenge on the course overall are some very tricky greens. Here are a few tips about the course: Be wary of if you are playing on the Blue course for the first time, there is a body of water in front of #1 that is not shown on the map. Don’t lose your ball to the Gators!
The red nine will punish you severely for shooting errant shots, but as long as you are careful and of average skill, you should do fine. It’s a bit narrower than the blue and the white course, and your driver may not be your best friend off the tee.
Try to switch it up! The red course is definitely the most challenging of the bunch. To get the edge on your competition, remember that the greens are really, really fast due to their high quality. Many players might not be used to this. Needless to say, this course is worth the trip! So come on down, enjoy a fun day of golfing in sunny central Florida!
